1 cup Masa Harina (instant corn masa)
1 cup Water
Canola Oil (as needed for frying)
12 ounces Canned Black or Pinto Beans
1 Tbsp Vegetable Shortening or Lard*
1-2 tsp Cumin, ground
12 ounces Canned Diced Tomato
3 each Vine Ripened Tomato
1 each Medium Yellow Onion
4 each Jalapeño
3-4 each Garlic Cloves
Cilantro To Taste
3 each Lime
1 bunch Cilantro
4 ounces Green Cabbage*
4 ounces Queso Fresco*
4 ounces Sour Cream*
Have a large nonstick pan, a slotted spoon or spider, pot for frying, and a food processor or blender handy!
