CREATE LIVE | MEXICAN SOPES INGREDIENTS

Sopes | Salsa Roja | Pico de Gallo (Feeds 2)

6 each Shrimp Peeled & Deveined 13-15 

1 cup Masa Harina (instant corn masa)

1 cup Water

Canola Oil (as needed for frying)

12 ounces Canned Black or Pinto Beans

1 Tbsp Vegetable Shortening or Lard*

1-2 tsp Cumin, ground

12 ounces Canned Diced Tomato

3 each Vine Ripened Tomato

1 each Medium Yellow Onion

4 each Jalapeño

3-4 each Garlic Cloves

Cilantro To Taste

3 each Lime

1 bunch Cilantro

4 ounces Green Cabbage*

4 ounces Queso Fresco*

4 ounces Sour Cream*

 

*=Optional Ingredients

Have a large nonstick pan, a slotted spoon or spider, pot for frying, and a food processor or blender handy!

 

-Aversion to Seafood? Use another protein or none at all. I enjoy sautéed yellow squash with sopes!

-Aversion to Gluten? This dish is completely gluten free!

-Aversion to anything at all? Don't use it!
